Conditions We Treat
We specialize in comprehensive management of various brain and spine tumors, using advanced techniques tailored to each specific condition.
High-Grade Gliomas (Glioblastoma)
Aggressive brain tumors requiring the "Stupp Protocol"—a combination of surgery followed by concurrent radiation and oral chemotherapy. We specialize in managing this complex treatment regimen.
Meningiomas
Tumors arising from the brain's covering. While often benign, some require precise radiation if they cannot be fully removed by surgery. We use advanced IMRT techniques for optimal results.
Brain Metastases
Cancer that has spread to the brain from the lung, breast, or other organs. We treat these with focused radiation to control spread and reduce swelling, often using Stereotactic Radiosurgery.
Skull Base & Pituitary Tumors
Complex tumors located deep in the brain, often requiring high-precision radiation techniques to protect vision and hormone function. Specialized planning ensures optimal outcomes.
Advanced Treatment Modalities
We employ state-of-the-art techniques specifically designed for brain and spine tumors, ensuring maximum effectiveness with minimal impact on healthy brain function.
Precision radiation technology for brain tumor treatment
Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRS/SRT)
For small tumors or metastases, we use Stereotactic Radiotherapy. This delivers a high, ablative dose of radiation with sub-millimeter accuracy, often in just 1 to 5 sessions. It is non-invasive and painless.
IMRT & IGRT
For larger or irregularly shaped tumors, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) allows us to wrap the radiation dose around the tumor while sparing critical structures like the Optic Chiasm (vision), Brainstem (life function), and Hippocampus (memory).
Targeted Therapy & Chemotherapy
We utilize drugs that can cross the "Blood-Brain Barrier." This includes oral chemotherapy agents and newer targeted therapies for specific genetic mutations (like EGFR or BRAF).
When to See a Neuro-Oncologist?
Brain tumors can present with subtle signs. If you experience persistent symptoms, a consultation and MRI may be required.
Persistent Headaches
Headaches that worsen in the morning or with vomiting, often different from usual patterns.
Seizures
Seizures (fits) in an adult for the first time, especially without previous history.
Vision Changes
Sudden vision changes, double vision, or loss of side vision without obvious cause.
Weakness or Numbness
Weakness or numbness on one side of the body, affecting face, arm, or leg.
Personality Changes
Personality changes, memory loss, or difficulty speaking or understanding language.
Collaborative Care with Neurosurgeons
Surgery is often the first step in brain tumor management. Dr. Pant works closely with Lucknow's leading Neurosurgeons to provide comprehensive care.
Pre-Surgery Planning
We assist in planning to ensure the tumor is removed safely while preserving critical brain function. Our input helps surgeons identify optimal surgical approaches.
Post-Surgery Care
We take over immediately for Radiation and Chemotherapy to kill any remaining microscopic cells. This coordinated approach prevents delays in treatment.
Multidisciplinary Tumor Board
Every complex case is discussed with a team of radiologists, surgeons, and pathologists to finalize the best treatment plan based on latest evidence.

Common Questions
We understand you may have concerns about brain tumor treatment. Here are answers to some frequently asked questions.
We use "Hippocampal-sparing" techniques whenever possible to protect the part of the brain responsible for memory. While some fatigue is common, modern radiation significantly reduces long-term cognitive risks.
If you have had a seizure, you cannot drive until cleared by your neurologist. If you are stable, many patients can continue daily activities, but we advise having a driver for safety during radiation weeks.
It is the global gold standard for treating Glioblastoma (GBM). It involves 6 weeks of radiation combined with daily chemotherapy tablets, followed by 6 months of maintenance chemotherapy tablets. Dr. Pant specializes in managing this specific protocol.
